Come and meet us at Hahaione Park right by the Hahaione Elementary School and we will walk up the hill and go about 2,5 to 3 miles. We will leave at 815. Please let me know if you can make it so that we don't leave without you.

Friday August 21st is a state holiday and so we will go ahead and cancel due to no school. Monday August 24th is also no school and so we will cancel that one too.
August 28th Friday I have to take daughter to the orthodontal appt.
Monday Sept. 7th is Labor Day and no school and or work so we will cancel that too.
We have 2 more My First Art Class next week Tuesday and then I will be back on schedule.
August has been so crazy. Hopefully Sept. will be back to normal. Mahalo for your kokua. Please continue to check the blog for further updates for the walks.

WALK CANCELLED DUE TO FELICIA

Due to Tropical Storm Felicia, we will cancel the walk for Monday and Tuesday for our childrens safety and our own safety. Please check blog for further updates and or dates, times and days for the new walking schedule and mystery Thursday hike/walk.

THURSDAY-MYSTERY HIKE/WALK

Each week we will either try and new hike or keep with the one we did the week before or take all the suggestions and rotate the walks and hikes. I will post it on this blog site each Wed. We can decide as a group and or you can give me suggestions. Please keep in mind that we need to bring strollers. We also do about 2 to 3 miles each walk.

Next week Thursday on August 13 we can start off by doing Diamond Head Hike. We can park at the Waikiki Shell for free and meet there and hike up Monsarratt. Let's meet at 830am. Please let me know if you can make it. We don't want to leave without you.

ART IN THE PARK

The Baby Hui will have ART IN THE PARK on August 19th at 930am at Moanalua Gardens by Tripler Hospital. Please come and check it out.

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND-NEW SCHEDULE

Now that school is back in session, we are too. Come and join us for our walks on Mondays and Fridays at 830am Hahaione Park by Hahaione School. We are adding a new day on Tuesday at Kaimana Beach parking lot at 830am. On Wednesday, we will keep the Makapuu Hike at 530pm. We walk about 2 1/2 to 3 miles and it takes about an hour. So, don't forget your water, sunscreen and stroller. Please let me know if you can make it so that I can look for you and so that we don;t leave without you. The kids get crazy if you don't leave on time. So, please come about 10 min. before 830am so that we can leave on time EXCEPT FOR WED. AT 530pm and please come 10 min. early to get ready to hike.

NEW SCHEDULE FOR WALKING-SUMMERTIME

Mondays we all meet at 830am in Mariners Cove- Lynns house and she does stretching and tummy crunches along with pushups too. She use to do that Baby Boot Camp. She is awesome! This one is 2 miles. It is a flat walk. This one is really neat for the kids because they see pigs with the mom and the babies by the farms in the back and dogs and cats too.

Wednesdays we will meet at 530pm for family hike at Makapuu Lighthouse-this is a paved area for strollers and dogs are allowed on a leash and dont forget a bag to pick up his business, along with a camera for the gorgeous view, hand towel and water. You don't have to bring these things. But, I do recommend it. This one is about 2 and a half miles.

Fridays we will meet at my house at 815am and do a challenging route but a good workout. A lot of up and down with the hills and it is almost 3 miles.

Family Walks On Wednesdays

Well, its been so hot that I think if we try a 2 month trial over the summer to hike Makapuu Lighthouse on Wednesdays at 530pm! Get active in the outdoors and get the whole family involved or just come by yourself. Its such a gorgeous view when you are walking up and down the hill. It takes about an hour depending upon the pace. Please bring a hand towel, water, tennis shoes and a camera to take pictures at the top. Meet at the parking lot right before the time and we will try and start on time.

Book Club

This book club is open to anyone who enjoys reading or wants to read but cannot due to kids. So, you are more than welcome to join in at any time.

Location and time are to be announced later but shall be held in the first week in June.

A big mahalo to Berit for hosting a great book club discussion on May 6th at the park. The book called 'FOR WOMEN ONLY" was great! We are looking forward to reading the other books for that series.

We are now starting "THE HITCHHIKERS GUIDE TO THE GALAXY" by Douglas Adams.

Hahaione Park on Pepeekeo St.

Fridays at 830am we meet at Hahaione Park on Pepeekeo St for a nice walk up the hills of Hawaii Kai. We go about 3 miles more or less.

Don't forget to bring a hand towel and water.

Mondays we are walking about 2 1/2 miles with some other stretching and exercises. We meet at the same time which is 830am but at Mariners Cove.

The Ladies of the 80's

The Blaisdel is having the Ladies of the 80's Concert on Saturday May 9th @ 7pm with Salt n Pepa and SWV and Lisa Lisa.

Tickets at 45 dollars and up to 100 for good seats.
